ELY, C. Michael “Mike”, age 62 of Kettering, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Mike was born in Dayton on Saturday,
December 9, 1950 to the late Charles B. and Frances M. Cruea Ely. He is survived by his brother, Mark Ely & his wife Gail; sisters, Mary Pancoast & her husband Jim and Marti Ely; nephews and nieces, Evan Ely, Josh (Jamie) Ely, Amanda (Ronnie) Cornett, Rob Pancoast, Andy Ely, and Hanna Pancoast; several other relatives, and many close and dear friends. Mike was a 1969 graduate of Fairmont West High School, attended Miami University, received an associate degree from Sinclair Community College and was a 1973 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Mike worked as a funeral director in the Dayton area before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1980, where he was a sales rep. for several water treatment companies. He then moved back to Dayton in 1995 and was co-owner of IRD. Mike’s loves in life were his friends and the game of golf. All of our family would like to send a special “Thank you” to the doctors and staffs at Miami Valley Hospital and Walnut Creek Nursing Center. You are the greatest!
